Active learning is the process of engaging students as participants in their own learning. (Harmin, 1994)

Explore the connection between active learning strategies and innovative technology tools. This session will focus on the application of four specific technology tools to enhance active learning strategies: collaborative learning using a back channel discussion, KWL creation using online whiteboards, think pair share using online audio recorders, and electronic graphic organizers for concept mapping.
